The Last Public Appearance Of Maggie Smith Left Fans Shocked

When we talk about 19s actress, the name Dame Maggie Smith must come across our mind as she was the most well-known personality due to some of her characters in the movies, Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.

But her last public appearance which occurred some months before her death, shocked her fans.

Dame Maggie Smith was an actress, who was well-known as Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter series and as Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess of Grantham in Downton Abbey. According to her family, she has passed away at the age of 89.

A combined declaration of by her sons Toby Stephens and Chris Larkin read, “It is with great sadness we have to announce the death of Dame Maggie Smith.”

They further said,  “She passed away peacefully in hospital early this morning, Friday 27th September. An intensely private person, she was with friends and family at the end. She leaves two sons and five loving grandchildren who are devastated by the loss of their extraordinary mother and grandmother.”

A thankful statement about the hospital and its staff, saying, “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their care and unstinting kindness during her final days.

They added with the family saying, “We thank you for all your kind messages and support and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

Her death news really shocked the fans. She appeared publicly last time, a year before at the Wimbledon men’s singles finals. She put on a navy blue shirt dress covered in a chic dotted pattern. She paired the look with black leather heels and a blue overcoat. She also wore a matching navy leather bag on one shoulder.

Her bob haircut was in soft waves and a pink lipstick completed her look!

Her appearance in public was rare, and fans were astonished to see her out and about.

When the picture of her outing was shown online publicly, people were overjoyed to see her.

One person commented on a picture of her from the event, “So elegant!” One person wrote, “You [look] so beautiful” and another added, “Amazing.”

She was one of the great actresses. Her hard work and flawless acting made her popular among the people. Now she is not among us but her memories and her Dynamic personality are always alive in the hearts of people.
