Twin babies don’t realize they’ve been born, refuse to stop cuddling like they did in the womb

Having a baby is an incredible gift. Having twins is a double blessing. They are like two little peas in a pod and have been so for the past nine months. It almost seems like a shame to separate the peaceful fellows and remove them from each other’s arms.

In 2013, one short but powerful video shows just how deep that bond is, even starting before birth: two newborn twin boys refused to stop cuddling together! It appears the little ones do not even realize they’ve been born yet going by their reactions. In a video that has been viewed nearly 50 million times on YouTube, the babies, less than two months old, receive a bath and keep holding one another, wrapping their little arms and legs around each other.

Just days after the birth of these twins, a boy and a girl, French nurse Sonia Rochel took out her phone to record her signature bathing technique for newborns called the “baby spa”. The technique is designed for infants younger than two months old because it is meant to replicate the feeling of being in the womb. This might explain why the twins are so cuddly with one another—they want to be close to each other like they were before being born.

The twins whose mother wanted their identities to remain anonymous appeared to love every second of the bath. They held onto each other like how they did in the womb.
