So join us in congratulating Tebow on his new marriage!
Tebow tied the knot with his fiancee Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, winner of the 2017 Miss Universe Pageant, over the weekend in the bride’s home country of South Africa.
The pair got engaged last January, and have been dating since the summer of 2018.
“Thank you for saying yes and making me the happiest man in the world,” Tebow wrote on Instagram announcing their engagement.
“You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
The sunset wedding ceremony, reportedly attended by 260 guests, was a classic, traditional affair, although the couple put some personal touches on it.
“We’re both very traditional,” Nel-Peters told People. “We wanted to look back at the wedding and see that it was intimate, elegant, and traditional. We definitely wanted it to be something that we could look back on and know that nothing was dated.”
They wrote their own vows: “I want the vows to be perfect,” Tebow said. “I’m leaving in the traditional things like ’till death do us part,’ but I’m also adding some of my own things to it.”
The health-conscious couple also chose their favorite salad as their dinner, and chose a Keto-friendly cheesecake as their wedding cake so “Tim can stick to his diet.”
It sounds like these two are a perfect match and will be very happy together. Tebow says he was always “waiting for the right person to come along,” and clearly Demi was the one.
“I’ve been waiting my entire life for someone special, who I can spend the rest of my life with,” he told People. “And now I’m marrying Demi.” “
“I can’t wait to see what our future holds. All of my dreams have come true. It was 100 percent worth the wait.”
Congrats to this happy couple! We’re so glad Tim Tebow found the love of his life.
