Sister Asked If She Is Wrong for Not Meeting My Sister’s Expectations

We all love our family, but sometimes stress can lead us to do hurtful things. This story is about a young lady Traditional_Honey19. She was 21 years old. She shared her story about agreeing to care for her sister’s dog when she was in labor. Her sister gave her a detailed instruction on how to take care of her dog, including using a harness for the dog when taking him outside. She takes good care of her dog and takes him outside. After the walk, the dog ran into the living room when she hadn’t fully removed his harness which her sister’s boyfriend saw on FaceTime.

After some time, she received angry texts from her sister accusing her of being unreliable and mistreating her dog. Then she kicked her and their mom out of the house and said that they were not allowed to see the baby until they earned her trust back.

Then the next day, her sister apologized for her behavior, saying that her reaction was due to stress and hormones. She invites them to meet the baby. The visit was okay, but when her sister asked her why she was so quiet. She politely answered that she was hurt by how she kicked her and their mother out of the house and insulted her. Instead of understanding her sister became angry again and told her to the house.

Since then, they have not talked to each other, and now Traditional_Honey19 wondering if was wrong to want her sister to understand her feelings in such a stressful time.
