A loyal friend is someone who is always there for their friends. EducationalRemove931 is a 20-year-old woman. She and her friend were very excited about their trip to the UK. OP had a UK passport, but her friend didn’t. She needed a visa. But things took another turn. They had planned to take two flights. But unfortunately, the second one was canceled. Therefore, they had to wait for the next flight.
Passengers could stay in the nearby hotels but because of visa, OP’s friend is stuck in the airport. She had to stay in a noisy area with bright lights. There were no seats available so she had to sleep on the floor.
Although she had the choice, OP choose to stay in the hotel instead of staying with her friend. When OP’s friend found out, she got very upset. She told the OP that she was afraid. She called the OP a “fake friend” who abandoned her in such a frightening place.
OP explained that she hadn’t slept in over 24 hours and she wanted to rest for some time. However, her friend was afraid and wanted her to accompany her. She felt hurt and called her selfish.
Now OP is wondering if she was wrong for not staying with her friend at the airport.
