A teenager has told how her stepdad began filming her when she was just 13 β on his phone hidden in her bedroom.
A girl named Zara Montgomery, 19, revealed vile creep David Brown, 57, used his mobileβs camera to spy on her through a gap drilled in her wardrobe and the keyhole of a chest.
Brown even videoed her on holiday with a tiny device stashed in her bedside clock.
Zara was terrified to rumble his sick plot when she was 15 β but she hid it for years because she fears he would attack her.
The young girl recalled: βEvery day I would come home from school and he would order me upstairs to change.
βHe would flip out if I told him I didnβt want to.
βI was too scared of him to say anything and I didnβt want to break up my family. He did what a dad never should.β
According to Zara, Brown met her lawyer mum Nadine Allam, 47, in 2010.
She was later alerted to his vile actions by a reflection from a blanket box.
Psychology student Zara admitted she was βconfusedβ when playing back footage on a Samsung phone which showed Brown switching on the camera before hiding it.
She revealed after that she found the handset βevery dayβ in her room.
βOne time I noticed there was a hole in my wardrobe.
βI opened it and taped to the door was his phone.β
βPEOPLE NEED TO KNOW WHO HE IS. IβM NOT AFRAID TO SPREAK OUTβ. she added.
Psychology student said sheβd move the chest in a bid to block the camera at home in Pollokshields, Glasgow.
However, when the family went on holiday to their villa in Florida, USA, Brown filmed her on a gizmo inside her clock.
This man was finally nailed after Zara confided in her mum in January last year β after their 2019 break-up.
Cops found pictures of the teen in a raid on Brownβs home.
But Zara courageously vowed: βI am not going to let this beat me.
βPeople need to know who he is. Iβm not afraid to speak out.β
Last week, at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Brown admitted tampering with furniture and hiding his phone to take videos between August 2015 and April 2017.
He also pled guilty to filming Zara in Florida from August to December 2018.
Brown will be sentenced next month.
